Vampires: Are they really "Real"?

Vampires are one of the most popular mythical creatures ever known. Thanks to "Dracula", people everywhere in the world believe they exist along with all the stories that tag along. But do they really
exist?

The myths and legends of vampires started a long time ago. In Europe, when diseases like Tuberculosis were so fatal and before medicine had reached such a high level, when an epidemic came, people would go down like flies. No one would know why such diseases went viral so fast and how. That is when the myths started, stories go that if a person has just died of an epidemic, you had to dig up their grave and if their heart is still fresh, for fear of vampirism, you had to tear it out and burn the corpse.

The most popular one of course is the story of "Dracula" of Romania, a fictional character who apparently used to live on blood and just over all a supernatural creature. That is what the novel says,
but have you ever considered where the story originated from?

The first thing you need to know is that Dracula did exist. Not in the stereotypical idea of -I'm going to kill you and suck your blood-kind of way. No, the truth is that Count Dracula was a real person. He was the Prince of Wallachia, Transylvania in the Fifteenth century. The idea probably came from the fact that this man used to love torturing people but it is inconclusive whether he was a really a vampire

That being said, Vampires throughout the years have been characterized by some interestingly unique features. These are some of which and the truth about them:
1.      Vampires are the "undead" or "immortal"
This one originated from the novel, a technique used by Stoker to make the story more mysterious and exotic. Of course, this is not rue because even if vampires do exist, everyone has got to die at some point, even vampires.
2.      Vampires can fly or move at the speed of sound, or can heal faster.
That one is debatable. According to science, if vampires can do that it is because they only have the ability to heal double than a normal human being would. As for the flying part, it is not true, they can only move fairly fast.
3.      Vampires can turn themselves into bats
This one is by no means true. However, because they are believed to live in dark places and suck on  blood like bats, they were naturally believed to be two kinds of the same species.

The question remains, did they really exist? The signs show that they did. This link provides a
thorough explanation of it.

Do vampires really exist until now? The answer is yes, but they are not the blood-sucking creatures with that image Hollywood portrayed in your head. Do they feed on human blood? To very small extents, because human blood contains iron and vampires cannot really digest that in large amounts,
as it would lead to their death.

?Where
The belief is that they exist all over the world, England, Germany, Greece and India. However, because they hide in the shadows, no one can really identify them. Moreover, they are believed to exist in parts of Africa, specifically South Africa, but even there they are not the stereotypical image of vampires you have in your head.
